Dr did not prescribe blood pressure medication when asked if my pressure was high. After suffering a stroke, nearly dying, I learned that my pressure had been 165 on the occasion I asked him and never was it lower than 140. For me, an elderly AfroAmerican woman, it should have been controlled by medication!

I really don’t understand why the rating is not higher… For years, I was passed around from specialist to specialist and got absolutely nowhere. the moment i stepped foot into their office, they sat me down and had a one on one going over everything with me genuinely caring about my needs, addressed them and pointed me to the right direction and had those problems dealt with. I don’t say it lately when I say that one my biggest fears is losing them as my primary because I will never again find another physician like Dr. Chan. All the ones prior would walk in and walk right back out prescribing me a medication never taking the time to see what was really wrong. They just wanted to mask it. Dr. Chan wants to fix it. Reception at times might seem a little short or quick to finish , but they’re busy, if you’ve ever worked, you should know how That is. They don’t just answer phones all day long or cater to a certain Individual. I am not an easy person to please.. look at my other reviews and you’ll see that. give credit where credit is due and it’s most definitely deserved here!

My boyfriend has been going to Dr. Chan for 25 years and the dr has been really great the entire time - until now. He’s never turned us away because he usually cares. However due to a holiday, when we came to see him for an emergency they said they couldn’t book us for two weeks. His wife used to check and see if Chan could see us, but she wouldn’t even turn around to look at us. There was an empty waiting room with no patients and they were still unable to grab him. He usually comes out to see us upon arrival, so I’m not sure why they were being so rude. I never give bad ratings, but this was a terrible experience and we are extremely disappointed.

My main purpose was to locate a good Primary care physician after going through a nightmare with my prior Doctor. Dr. Chan has proven himself to me and although the front desk could use a little more customer kindness. There is just one up front in the early hours that’s a bit firm and rude. I just looked over it personally. Dr. Chan has his hands full with me considering I have many underlying conditions. Dr. Chan has made sure I have the proper referral and listens to my concerns.

The dr himself is nice. He’s knowledgeable about his practice and asks questions. He was friendly and made jokes.
The only complaint I have is the front desk ladies. Weren’t very friendly and when u call them they rush you off the phone. You can tell they don’t want to be bothered. Kind of a turn off considering you want to feel comfortable and at ease when it comes to your dr.

Doctor is nice but the front desk (the Asian lady) could care less about customer service. I had a chest x-ray and called to hear the results. The lady who answered my call said it came back inconclusive and that I have to wait 5 days before a referral to a pulmonologist. I asked if the xray showed anything I should be concerned with and she snapped back "inconclusive!". Then she said, if you dont hear from us in 5 days, you need to call us.

I called back (same lady answered the phone) and asked to speak with the doctor when he was available for just a few minutes. She said she would schedule a phone call from the doctor in weeks time. I said I just need to speak with him for a few minutes. She said "Everyone just needs a few minutes"

Please also note that they advertise that their office hours include a lunch break from 12 noon to 1:30. However, no one answers the phone until after 2 pm. So they have time for 2 hour lunch breaks but no time to provide a 2 minute phone call with the doctor in less than 7 days.

As mentioned, the doctor is nice. But if you want professional front office service, look somewhere else.
