Having lived in our house for 11 years we wanted to turn our house into a home. Not wanting to deal with lots of individual companies we wanted a one stop shop that could deliver everything we wanted including new windows, extension, kitchen and everything in between.

After looking at several local and national companies we met Jill and Kev and decided immediately that they were the company for us. Friendly, passionate and knowledgeable they immediately understood what we wanted and put it into a design that was easy to understand. Kev (and not forgetting Paul) concentrated on the internal and external building work including fixtures and fittings, whilst Jill concentrated on the kitchen design.

Very easy to work with, straightforward in their approach and flexible to our changing requests as the project progressed, and believe me there were many! The overall project was undertaken in a most professional manner. They cleaned up after themselves, arrived on time and worked sometimes well into the evenings and the end result has far exceeded our expectations. I genuinely have no hesitation in recommending Durham Design Ltd for projects of this nature.

Historically we have always to some extent ended up disappointed with contractors. Some OK others left wanting.

We needed a new roof on our 16 year old conservatory. We chose Durham Designs and an Ultra Frame 380 Warm Roof rather than the lower cost more popular Guardian Roof. We were immediately impressed by Jill and Kevin's no nonsense informative and knowledgeable approach.
The work has been amazing beyond any reasonable expectation . All their contractors to a man have been impressive both in there attitude and quality of work, we now have a fantastic Warm Roof.
In our opinion the cheapest quote is never the best option. This sort of attention to detail doesn't come cheap however, Durham Design are a company that you can trust to deliver the highest possible quality product.
We are actively looking for more work that they can do for us and to me, that says it all.

Durham Design finished our new living roof just before Christmas, tackling unexpected snow fall while there was no roof on in the process. Our experience has been good and we’re happy with the finished result. This is not a cheap option, we had lower quotes but this product afforded us the option of putting light into our room where velux windows couldn’t. We were also sold on this company by the company itself, they are Jill and Kevin; they visited together and promised a fine product and they have supplied it. Ultimately though, I think the measure of a good company is how they deal with concerns as they come along, they did that, coming over together on a Saturday during the build to offer reassurance. We would recommend Durham Design without hesitation.

Gordon and I are just thrilled with the end result of our sun room extension. We have been informed every step of the way as the build has went from ground level to full build. Kevin and his team are a delight to work with, the are a hard working courteous team whose main and only aim is to work to a very high standard with the clients wishes and expectations being paramount. Gill has ensured work has been carried out even in these tough times, which impressed us both immensely. When deciding on a project to enhance your home go no further. I am certain I will call on you both again.

Kevin and his team did several jobs for us, the biggest of which was to replace our existing conservatory with an amazing Ultraframe extension. We are extremely happy with the result which has transformed our room into an all year round living space. Kevin and team were with us for a few months and were a pleasure to have in our home. Always respectful and very tidy, ensuring the site was left safe and clear each evening before leaving. They worked extremely hard to achieve our projects and Kevin was great at being able to visualise possible design ideas/solutions. Nothing was too much trouble and their communication with us was very good. Their quote was competitive and their work was of a high standard.
